Natural Burial – Beyond Hope

Join Natural Burial in B.C. for a conversation about Natural/Green Burial options in British Columbia ~ outside the lower mainland.
SEPTEMBER 20TH 7pm to 8:30 Pacific TimeWe will be focusing on communities outside the major centres because we face very different challenges! There are already some really lovely natural burial options available in the lower mainland and on the Islands. However, population density and land scarcity in the Lower Mainland means, for the most part, looking for other Green alternatives. Folks are working very hard to bring Human Composting and Aquamation to BC. These are practical and realistic options to wean ourselves away from standard flame cremation (which is not a Green choice). NOR and Aquamation will most likely become available in our densely populated urban centers before we see any facilities in our rural areas. And they really are urban solutions.Natural burial options could and should be available to every BC community where there is land available. For us, for the people we love, and for the conservation of wild spaces in the beautiful places we call home.
