Greetings from Nova Scotia!
This is a first of a series of ‘coast to coast’ blogs from the Directors of the Society to share with you what’s happening in our parts of the country.
It’s been an eventful summer here in the ‘Canada’s Ocean Playground’, with our worst ever wildfires, flooding and roads damaged from heavy
rainfalls, and visits from Hurricanes Lee and Phillipe.
And it’s been a busy and positive summer for Green Burial activities.
My fellow director, Louisa Horne and I are also working to create a conservation area which will offer natural burial in a beautiful woodland
setting. Last month we shared our story with Richard Cuthbertson, a reporter from CBC. He produced an excellent article which can be found at:

The Green Burial Society of Nova Scotia hosts a monthly on-line ‘Green Burial Café’. It’s a drop-in event open to all, and attracts participants from
across Canada and beyond. Check in for the next one, 7 pm Atlantic time on October 25 on Google Meet Video link at:

GBSNS is only one of a number of groups across the country seeking to advance Green Burial in their local areas. To help us link these groups
together by networking please write and tell me about your regional group at: raymattholie@gmail.com
